# Installation

- Download appCUE installation [here](https://support.cuesystem.com/space/TD/894861395/CUE+Control#appCUE). If you do not have an account on the support portal, request access [here](https://www.cuesystem.com/support/).
- Install appCUE on the target device.

# Using the notification area

Running appCUE provides the following icon in Windows Notification Area:

Right click displays the context menu.

This context menu allows to:

- Select active local site application. All existed applications are listed, left click selects required application.
- Displays Configuration window. See chapter Configuration for more details.
- Displays About box.
- Exit appCUE.

# Setup

- In the notification area, activate context menu (by right mouse click) and select Configuration.
- Press Applications and then button New to create
- Create Local site by filling Site name (friendly name independent on programming), Server magic name (AL server name created by programmer), Magic name (control application magic name created by programmer) and Password (set in the AL server Admin web).
- In the same window you can edit all site parameters.

# Start/stop control application

- In the notification area, activate context menu (by right mouse click) and select Configuration.
- Select application you want to start and press button Start.
- Stop running application by button Stop.

# Folders

- In the notification area, activate context menu (by right mouse click) and select Configuration.
- Select Folders to define root folder where Applications and File storage are located.

# Options

- In the notification area, activate context menu (by right mouse click) and select Configuration.
- Select Options to to set following optional parameters:  
- Run minimized – Launch appCUE application minimized  
- Launch appCUE on system startup - Launches appCUE on system startup automatically
