This page is used for establishing the communication parameters for the unit. The unit uses standard internet protocol (IP) communication parameters. Certain parameters can be reset by the user. On start-up, this page will display the unit’s given Physical address (MAC), Current IP address, Current primary DNS server, and Current secondary DNS Server. Carefully note this address information (and any changes you make to the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, or primary and secondary DNS server).

Note for control system

IP address or Magic name must be entered into the Cue Visual Composer program written for your specific application. For control systems with more than one CUEunits, a unique IP address must be given to each CUEunit.

Some control systems are “stand-alone” and not part of a larger network. For such “stand-alone” systems, the Magic name is optional. However, for control systems that are connected to a larger network, please obtain the Hostname from the network administrator, and enter it into the Magic name box.

- The currently used setting is displayed in the upper part of the page.
- By the checkbox "**Use DHCP to obtain IP address**" you enable automatic assignment of an IP address through the DHCP server.
- By the checkbox "**Use DHCP to obtain DNS server address**" you enable the automatic setting of DNS server addresses through DHCP.
- If you do not enable the automatic assignment of DNS server addresses, you need to set them in the bars "**Primary DNS server**" or "**Secondary DNS server**".
- You can also enter the IP address, the subnet mask, the default gateway as well as the primary and secondary server DNS of your network.

> 📝 If the assignment of IP address through DHCP is enabled, the entered setting of the IP address, mask, etc. is taken as alternate configuration, i.e. configuration used in case the DHCP server is not available. If you are not using DHCP to assign the IP address, all items (IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and the primary and secondary DNS servers) have to be set for your network.

- To save changes, press the "**Apply**" button.
- In changing the IP settings, you need to **reset **the touchONE unit. Confirm the changes in the setup by clicking "**Yes**" on the next page. This will also initiate the reset.

> 📝 **For touchONE-manager unit only**: UDP packet broadcast on port 33333 is used to search for reservation system units on the network. If UDP packet broadcast is disabled on this network, or if units of the reservation suite are on different VLANs where broadcast packets do not pass through, set a fixed IP address (either static or reserved on a DHCP server) on the touchONE-manager.
