The **controlCUE-three** is an IP-based control unit designed for integration into meeting rooms, classrooms, and other environments requiring centralised management of AV and building technologies.

Communication is handled through a **10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet** interface (RJ-45) supporting **PoE, proxy servers, and 802.1X authentication**. The device includes **4 bi-directional RS-232/485 ports** for serial control, **8 universal ports** configurable as digital inputs, open-collector outputs, IR emitters, or one-way RS-232 outputs, and **2 low-voltage relay outputs** for switching external circuits. An integrated IR receiver allows learning and processing of infrared codes.

Status indicators on the front panel display power, network, CPU activity, and port states, while a system default button enables a quick reset to factory settings.

Internal resources include **2 GB RAM** and **16 GB eMMC storage** for configuration data and automation scripts. The system runs on the XPL2 scripting platform, programmable via Cue Visual Composer, and is managed through an embedded web server (Admin Web) for configuration, monitoring, and firmware updates.

It is powered via PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or an external 12–28 V DC supply, with a maximum power consumption of 4 W. The unit features a compact aluminium chassis with dimensions of 210 × 42 × 92 mm and a weight of approximately 0.3 kg, suitable for tabletop or rack installation.
