The **smartCUE-versatile-d** is an IP-based control unit designed for integration into AV systems and building automation applications. It enables centralised or distributed management of connected devices and sensors through flexible communication interfaces.

The unit provides a **10/100 Base-T Ethernet** interface with** PoE (IEEE 802.3af)** for IP connectivity, configuration, and remote management. It includes **3 bi-directional RS-232/RS-485 ports** and **8 versatile ports** configurable as digital inputs for dry-contact switches or outputs for control signals. These ports can also be set for IR emitters or one-way RS-232 outputs, offering broad adaptability for various automation scenarios.

Power is supplied via PoE or an external 24 V DC source, with typical consumption of approximately 3 W. Internal resources include an **ARM® processor** and an onboard real-time clock with battery backup. LED indicators provide status information for power, network link, CPU activity, and port operation. The system runs on the XPL2 scripting platform, programmable via Cue Visual Composer, and supports configuration and firmware updates through an embedded web server.

The enclosure is a compact DIN rail-mounted housing with dimensions **70 × 90 × 58 mm**. It is suitable for installation in control panels or distributed automation environments.
