# Introduction

One of the great advantages of the CUE control system is the ability to control IP devices directly from touch panels without the need for a controller (processor). There are two ways to control IP controlled devices, both of which use the **Cue Visual Composer** programming tool:

1. **Standard application **using a **user interface **designed using CVC graphical resources and combined with IP **device drivers**.
2. **Use of websites** of controlled devices.

Both methods can be combined in a single touch panel to create applications that combine screens designed by the system progarmator (typically,ifferent presets if multiple devices need to be controlled simultaneously under a single button) with screens showing the web page of the controlled device (typically, detailed control of a specific device without having to program all of its functions).

This configuration allows for to creation **cost-effective** distributed control solution where the **touch panel serves as a controller** and graphic user interface in one box.

# Standard application
