# Comments

A comment is used as an explanation of a program code. The explanatory remarks are entered along with the "**//**" characters or between "**/***" and "***/**".

#### Syntax

```visualbasic
// This is a comment up to the end of the line
/* This is a comment delimited by comment brackets */
```

#### Example

```visualbasic
Temperature := 10 * b /*b>0*/ + 20 * c + 30 * d // temperature calculation
```

#### Example

```visualbasic
// --------------------------------------------------------------
// picture positions
// --------------------------------------------------------------

Const PICT_POS_TOP As Long := 36 // position from the top
Const PICT_POS_LEFT As Long := 35 // position from the left
```
