This function closes a window.

#### Syntax

```visualbasic
Function Close()
```

# GetMyDisplay

This function returns the address of my display.

#### Syntax

```visualbasic
Function GetMyDisplay() As AddressOf _Display
```

#### Return value

[<u>AddressOf</u>](/wiki/spaces/CVCHELP/pages/522682857/Other+operators#AddressOf) [<u>_Display</u>](/wiki/spaces/CVCHELP/pages/498533122/Terminology#EmbeddedClasses) It is the address of my display.

# Open

This function opens a window to the position **x** and **y** on the **display**. Coordinates **x** and **y** may be negative, then you can see only a part of the window. A parameter **flags** specify the method of the window activation.

#### Syntax

```visualbasic
Function Open(
  Optional x As Long := 0,
  Optional y As Long := 0,
  Optional flags As Long := _OW_CLOSESTANDARD,
  Optional display As AddressOf _Display := Nothing)
As Boolean
```

#### Parameters

x

[<u>Long</u>](/wiki/spaces/CVCHELP/pages/495058958/Data+types#Long) Optional, defaults to 0. It is the x coordinate.

y

[<u>Long</u>](/wiki/spaces/CVCHELP/pages/495058958/Data+types#Long) Optional, defaults to 0. It is the y coordinate

flags

[<u>Long</u>](/wiki/spaces/CVCHELP/pages/495058958/Data+types#Long) Optional, defaults to _OW_CLOSESTANDARD. It is the method of window activation. The method is selected by predefined constants and [<u>operator bitwise or</u>](/wiki/spaces/CVCHELP/pages/522682850/Bitwise+operators#BitOr-operator) (e.g. _OW_ALIGNLEFT BitOr _OW_ALIGNBOTTOM). Predefined constants for parameter flags are as follows:

|  |  |  |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Name | Value | Description |
| _OW_CLOSESTANDARD | &H80000000 | All windows opened as standard are closed. |
| _OW_CLOSETOPMOST | &H40000000 | All windows opened as topmost are closed. |
| _OW_BOTTOM | &H20000000 | The window is activated under the other windows of the same type (topmost/standard), otherwise over them. |
| _OW_TOPMOST | &H10000000 | The window is activated as the top most, otherwise as standard. |
| _OW_MODAL | &H08000000 | The window is activated as a modal and only can can be opened at a time. Cannot be combined with flag _OW_TOPMOST. |
| _OW_ALIGNHCENTER | &H04000000 | The window is aligned horizontally to the center of the display. Parameter x is ignored. |
| _OW_ALIGNVCENTER | &H02000000 | The window is aligned vertically to the center of the display. Parameter y is ignored. |
| _OW_ALIGNLEFT | &H01000000 | The window is aligned to the left of the display. Parameter x is ignored. |
| _OW_ALIGNTOP | &H00800000 | The window is aligned to the top of the display. Parameter y is ignored. |
| _OWthe _ALIGNRIGHT | &H00400000 | The window is aligned to the right of the display. Parameter x is ignored. |
| _OW_ALIGNBOTTOM | &H00200000 | The window is aligned to the bottom of the display. Parameter y is ignored. |

display

[<u>AddressOf</u>](/wiki/spaces/CVCHELP/pages/522682857/Other+operators#AddressOf) [<u>_Display</u>](/wiki/spaces/CVCHELP/pages/498533122/Terminology#EmbeddedClasses) Optional, defaults to Nothing. It is the address of the display.

#### Return value

[<u>Boolean</u>](/wiki/spaces/CVCHELP/pages/495058958/Data+types#Boolean) It is True if the window is opened or False if an error occurs. The function GetLastError returns the error number.
