# **smartCUE-three-wifi**

# Properties

- **IP address **of the smartCUE-three unit defaults to 192.168.1.254
- **TCP Port 1** is the number of TCP port connected to TcpClient1Connector, defaults to 10001
- **TCP Port 2** is the number of TCP port connected to TcpClient2Connector, defaults to 10002
- **UDP Port ** is the number of UDP port connected to UdpClientConnector, defaults to 7777
- All properties (IP address, ports) must match values set in the Admin Web of the smartCUE unit.
- All TCP/UDP ports must be enabled in router/firewall settings.

# Connection

The specific smartCUE driver is located in the CUEdevice folder. Insert the driver into *MyProject Resouces/ CUEunits and devices*, then drag and drop this driver to project configuration.

Connect all smartCUE interface connectors to appropriate channels on CUEunit (see the example below, where the name of the smartCUE unit is Interface1).

You can connect any serial (Digital IO, General IO, Ir) driver to the Serial (DigitalIO, General IO, Ir) channels of the smartCUE unit (see the example below, where names of the receiver's serial driver and TV's Ir driver are AV_Receiver1 and TV1).

Example of a connection in a Composer's Configuration window:

#### Syntax

```visualbasic
Function SetSerialParameters(
  mode As Byte,
  bitspersecond As Long,
  databits As Byte,
  parity As Byte,
  stopbits As Byte,
  flowcontrol As Byte,
  ParamArray)
As Boolean
```

#### Parameters

mode

Byte It is the mode of the channel. Predefined constants for parameter mode are as follows:

|  |  |  |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Name | Value | Description |
| _SERIAL_MODE_RS232 | 0 | Channel is in RS232 mode. |

bitspersecond

Long Following baudrates can be used: 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200, 230400, 460800.

databits

Byte It is the number of data bits from 7 to 8.

parity

Byte It is the type of parity. Predefined constants for parameter parity are as follows:

|  |  |  |
| --- | --- | --- |

Byte It is the number of stop bits. Predefined constants for parameter stopbits are as follows:

|  |  |  |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Name | Value | Description |
| _SERIAL_STOPBITS_ONE | 0 | One stop bit. |
| _SERIAL_STOPBITS_TWO | 2 | Two stop bits. |

flowcontrol

Byte It is the type of control. Predefined constants for parameter flowcontrol are as follows:

|  |  |  |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Name | Value | Description |
| _SERIAL_FLOWCONTROL_NONE | 0 | No handshake. |
| _SERIAL_FLOWCONTROL_RTSCTS | 1 | Hardware flow control RTS/CTS. |
| _SERIAL_FLOWCONTROL_XONXOFF | 2 | Software flow control by XON and XOFF bytes. Standard values XON=&h11 and XOFF=&h13 are used. |

ParamArray

It is not used in this function. It is there just to maintain compatibility with _Serial command SetSerialParameters.

#### Return Value

Boolean It is True on success or False if an error occurs.

#### Examples

Channel S1 is in RS232 mode, with 9600 bits per second, 8 data bits, no parity, one stop bit, and no handshake.
