# EnOceanID

For **Transmitter **devices:

- **ID offset - **can be set to value 0-127, and it is used as an offset to BaseID of the channel to define the actual value of ID for this particular transmitter virtual device (see above for details). Note that if there are multiple EnOcean Transmitters (device drivers of the same RORG) in the same project, they should be set to different ID offset values!

For **Listener** devices:

- **ID to Listen (Hex)**` - `text Field containing the ID which will be listened in HEX format –The actual ID value can be obtained in several ways:
 - It can be set directly if the actual value is known (either from product vendor documentation or the installation documentation …)
 - The ”ID to Listen” can be captured directly with the help of the device Listener Plugin. In this case, the value is obtained by standard En Ocean Learn process – in the same way as Teach-in /Learn is executed with all other standard EnOcean devices. –see the Plugin section by each EnOcean device object description.
 - The next possibility to get the actual ID value of listened EnOcean device is to use the standard EnOcean software tool ”Dolphin” (available in either Basic or Advanced version) with an EnOcean USB stick which is the standard set for EnOcean troubleshooting and traffic monitoring – for details see [www.enocean.com](http://www.enocean.com).
