1. **Add CUEunit into project resources**. Select the CUEunit pane by clicking the leftmost icon and mouse right-click anywhere in the MyProject Resources window.
Popup window appears, select Insert CUEunit… menu item and browse for touch panel system driver e.g. touchCUE-10-M_CS0561_Firmware_20.00.cvcc.
2. **Add collection into project resources**. Select the Collection pane by clicking the rightmost icon and mouse right-click anywhere in the MyProject Resources window.
Popup window appears, select Insert… menu item and browse for graphical collection driver e.g. BasicContainersAndNavigations.cvcg. Repeat the same procedure for all collections you need i.e. BasicButtons.cvcg and BasicDateTime.cvcg.
3. Switch back to the CUEunit pane, select the touch panel, and drag & drop it into the Configuration window. In the MyProject Instances window select TouchPanel1. In the bottom split window, TouchPanel1 resources appear. Double-click on the Windows node and the TouchPanel1 Windows tabbed window is shown.
4. Then switch to MyProject Resources: Collection pane, click FullscreenWindow and drag & drop it into the TouchPanel1 Windows window.
5. Double-click FullscreenWindow1 and a new tabbed window labeled TouchPanel1.FullscreenWindow1 comes out.
6. Repeat step 6 but with another graphical object from the collection. For example, analog clock.
Object (AnalogClock1 in our case) appearance and behavior can be customized by changing its properties in the Properties window.
7. Some objects may have **events **associated with them. For example, PushButton has an OnPush event. This event is triggered by the user’s finger touch. Raise the popup menu by mouse right-clicks over the PushButton object.
8. Click the Events4OnPush menu item and the new central tabbed TouchPanel1.GraphicEvents window is created. This window contains source code units, i.e. processes, functions, declarations, etc…
It creates a process that links this particular button PushButton1 to the process which will handle this OnPush event.
9. Private Process FullscreenWindow1_PushButton1_OnPush ( ) Link FullscreenWindow1.PushButton1.OnPush
// Your commands go here!
End Process
10. **PushButton1 properties **can be changed via its Properties window.
For example, to change caption text just click the UpText list box and select the <Insert…> option. The following window appears. Fill in the text box with the text of your choice.
To allow users to input East Asian (EA) languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, etc…) characters, please mouse right-click anywhere inside the text box to launch the pop-up menu. Select Open IME. Note: An IME (Input Method Editor) is a program that allows computer users to enter complex EA Unicode characters and symbols.
To change PushButton1 default font click the UpFont list box and <Insert…> option. The following window appears. Browse for the font you like.
11. Before project testing** startup window** must be set in the Main module. See the Modules section in TouchPanel1 project resources.
12. Private Process Autoexec()
FullscreenWindow1.ShowObject()
End Process
13. **To test the touch panel layout **simply click Debug TouchPanel1 Simulation toolbar button. Zoom in and zoom out by rolling the mouse wheel. Here we go!
