# Grouping and Ungrouping

Multiple objects can be grouped into one large object - group. Select more objects and use the context menu, item Group (Ctrl+G). Groups themselves can further be grouped, resulting in nested groups. The new bounding box of a group frame will change.

To select a group use click. To select a specific object within a group use doubleclick. If you select group, the right mouse button activates the context menu of the group. If you select a specific object within a group, the right button activates the context menu of the selected object. That means for example Events are simply available for grouped objects.

Groups can be copied within the window and to another one too.

To ungroup objects, click on the grouped objects and use item Ungroup (Shift+Ctrl+G) in the context menu.

# Graphic Objects Browser

The Graphic Objects Browser window shows a list of objects and groups on a window.

> Macro (drawio)

The order of objects and groups defines Z-order. That means it is very simple to change Z-order by dragging and dropping in the Graphic Objects Browser.

# Selecting Objects and Groups

Now it is possible to select all objects and groups on a window using Select All in the context menu or using Ctrl+A.

To select all the objects and groups in a rectangular area, use Ctrl+LeftMouseButton and drag a marquee over the objects you want to select.

# Replace Type of Object

Each object can be replaced by another object. Select object, the right click to activate the context menu, and select Replace with. You can select whatever graphic collection and then a new object. Values of properties with the same name are used for new objects - typically position, size, fonts, etc. Now you can replace for example PushButton with RepeatButton very quickly.

# Object and Group Resize

To keep constrained proportions during resizing of an object or group use Shift and drag any frame handle. If you select more objects, you can resize them all together. If Grid / Snap is active, the object or group size is aligned to the grid.

# Paste

Following paste methods are available

- **Paste **pastes object or group to place with constant offset to the original object.
- **Paste at Mouse Cursor** pastes top left corner of object or group to the current mouse cursor position.
- **Paste in Place** pastes object or group to a position of the original object or group.

# Lock

Now if an object or group is locked (property Locked = Yes), you can’t move the object or group using a mouse. However, you can select an object or group and change properties in the Properties window incl. position and size. Locked objects use a red frame and handle.

# Context Menu

The right mouse button displays the Context menu for a selected object or group. Against old CVC versions, it doesn’t select objects.

# Down State

To show objects in the state down (state after function OnDown), set View / Show object in Down state.

# Properties

Now window Properties display default values of properties. A default value can be set by a button.

> Macro (drawio)

It is possible to change the identical properties of **all selected objects** at one time. It is very helpful if you need to change the size, color, font, etc. for more objects.
