Some components cannot be part of the installation package for licensing reasons and have to be downloaded online.

Therefore, the server must have access during installation to the following websites.

> ⚠️ Access is tested at the beginning of the installation and if there is no access to all websites, the installation does not continue.

### Microsoft

[https://*.azureedge.net](https://azureedge.net)

All necessary components from Microsoft are downloaded, such as IIS, MS SQL Express, .NET Framework components, PowerShell modules, NuGet, etc. This is also where you download updates for Power Shell and other Microsoft components that may be needed when installing or updating instances of CUE Solution on a given server. **Second-order and all third-order and higher domains on *****microsoft.com*****, *****powershellgallery.com*** **and** ***azureedge.net*** **must be allowed.**

If the server has access to the CUE update server, the installation will be able to download the CUE Solution package online. It is also possible to download the **CUE Solution_Package_X.Y.Z.cuepac** file from the [CUE Downloads page](https://support.cuesystem.com/space/TD/739344444) and copy it to this server for offline installation.

> ⚠️ After installation, you can disable access to these sites. In case you are installing a new instance, **you must enable access to these sites for the installation in order to install the necessary components**.

> ⚠️ To upgrade to some versions, an **online connection may be also required** to upgrade some components. If this is required, please refer to the additional steps for installing that version.

Ensure that all necessary network routes, permissions, and firewall rules are configured so the server can communicate with these calendar services without restrictions.
