To install the CUE Solution, you need to have a server with the following parameters. The estimated configuration for 100 resources and 100 users is as follows:

- Windows Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022 (version 2019 is recommended) installed with **Desktop experience** feature
- Quad-Core CPU
- 16 GB RAM
- 160 GB HDD, <span style="color: #bf2600">**at least 20% and 30 GB free space required**</span>
- Database server MS SQL Server Express or connectivity to [external MS SQL Server](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/Dep/pages/152043547)
- IIS Server
- Desktop resolution FullHD (1920 x 1080) or higher

> ℹ️ It can be both hardware as well as a virtual machine.

### **Important notes:**

- The server should be **dedicated **to CUE Solution only and **no other server applications** should be running on it.
- **Connection to the LAN** according to the company’s rules to make DNS records work.
- **Clean installation** of the Windows server is sufficient (except for the recommended modern web browsers).
- The operating system must be fully **updated **and **restarted**.
- The server must have a **correctly set real time** and **functioning time synchronization with Internet NTP servers**.
- **Enable **the **latest SSL **standards.
- It is recommended to install **Google Chrome / Microsoft New Edge** (Chromium-based) on the server for initial setup.
- **Do not install any other components** in advance. Do not install MS SQLServer Express and IIS in advance, they will be installed by the CUE Solution Setup.
- **Back up the server** before installation to restore the server in case of complications. The reason is that the installation of the CUE Solution itself is not a standard normal software installation. This installation includes the installation of the necessary software components, IIS server configuration, database configuration, windows server configuration, and many other steps.
- Everything necessary will be installed by **Cue Solution Setup** - software for managing the CUE Solution.
- The **Cue Solution Setup** must be started with the **account with the highest administrator rights**.
- After the CUE Solution installation is complete, **automatic updates must be disabled**. Use only manual updates using verified and tested Windows Update packages.
- We recommend **regular backups** before each change.
- It is **strictly forbidden to manually modify **anything in the registry, dbase, file system, IIS, etc.


> ℹ️ We recommend that you use a server health monitoring tool such as Zabbix and monitor the following basic server parameters:

> ℹ️ - CPU usage
> ℹ️ - HDD usage
> ℹ️ - RAM usage
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ In case the usage of these parameters exceeds the set values (a conservative value is 80%), increase the server performance. <span style="color: #bf2600">**In addition, the HDD must have at least 20% and 30 GB free space.**</span>

> ℹ️ You can also monitor other parameters:

> ℹ️ - size of the database
> ℹ️ - check if admin, assist, api and navigation pools are running in IIS
> ℹ️ - etc.
