## Create domain for CUE Navigation

In version 7.3.3 there is a new CUE Navigation frontend application. You will need to create the Domain Name (URL) for this application.

During an update using the CUE Solution Setup, a window will appear and you will be prompted to enter additional information:

- Domain name (URL), <span style="color: #0747a6">***cuenavigation***</span><span style="color: #0747a6">*.yourdomain.topdomain*</span>, e.g. *navigation.contoso.com*
- Navigation web path - the path to the navigation web site on the server disk
- IIS Pool name
- IIS Site name

We recommend using the same naming convention you used when you initially installed CUE Solution for the other sites (Admin, API, Assist).

Once completed, click **Save / Next**.

## Edit or delete the override.json file

The web pages in CUE Solution need to be customized for each installation. Most of these customizations are handled by the CUE Solution Setup, but some had to be added manually by the administrator (e.g. setting up a proxy server for access to calendar servers). If manual customizations are not needed, the administrator does not have to worry about them, because they are managed by the CUE Solution Setup.
In CUE Solution up to version 6, all customizations, both those made by the CUE Solution Setup and possibly manual interventions by the administrator) were in the *override.json* file that is part of the API pages. The location of this file is in *YourDisk:\Cue\NameOfYourInstallation\sites\api\wwwroot*, e.g. ***C:\Cue\Contoso\sites\api\wwwroot\override.json***.

Since version 7, the customizations created by the CUE Solution Setup are stored in a different *appsettings.json* file that no longer needs to be manually managed. The *override.json* file remains reserved for custom modifications managed manually (e.g. proxy settings). If you do not use such modifications, the override.json file is no longer needed.

Follow these instructions:

- back up the *override.json* file to a suitable folder and delete it from the folder *YourDisk:\Cue\NameOfYourInstallation\sites\api\wwwroot* directory
- Open a backup of the *override.json* file, created in the previous step, (i.e. a file created in CUE Solution version 6 or earlier) in Notepad. If it has the following content, you don't need to do anything and you do not need *override.json* file in CUE Solution version 7.3.3 or later.

- If the file contains other entries, you need to create a new **override.json** file and put only those remaining entries in it. The JSON formatting must be preserved. Then copy this file to the *YourDisk:\Cue\NameOfYourInstallation\sites\api\wwwroot* folder. If you are unsure, contact [support@cuesystem.com](mailto:support@cuesystem.com)
- Then recycle or start the API pool in the IIS server, as described [here](/wiki/spaces/Dep/pages/603488301/Basic+IIS+Administration#Start-%2F-Stop-%2F-Recycle-application-pool).
