## Installations without CUE Assist

No additional steps are required.

## Installations using CUE Assist

**CUE Assist** from version 7.11.6 onwards uses caching/prefetching of calendar data to optimize speed. For this reason, **it is necessary to have a Connection agent for API operations set up for all resources used in CUE Assist.**

### Mailflow settings

**If you haven't set up yet Connection agent for API operations in resources** and you are using the following features on Microsoft 365 or Exchange Server:

- event confirmation
- processing analytics data

you will need to set up a Connection agent for API operations and **set up a mailflow for service account** used in this connection agent as described [here](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/285933569).


> ⚠️ **Important note for customers using Microsoft Exchange Server on-prem**  
> ⚠️ If you have not yet set up a connection agent for API for your resources and you are using CUE Assist, event confirmation or processing analytics data, please contact [CUE support](https://support.cuesystem.com) before upgrading.
