There are many breaking changes in version 9.5.0, so we recommend that you study these instructions carefully and follow them before upgrading. The main changes are:

- support for the Outlook add-in - CUE Addin
- new statistics evaluation using Kibana and Elasticsearch

## Upgrade procedure

- Before upgrading, back up the entire server.
- Check the amount of free disk space, after the update **at least 20% and 30 GB of free space is required** for proper functioning.
- Create DNS records for the new domains that are needed for the new functionality and redirect them to the server. See [Domains and DNS records](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/Dep/pages/151224364).
 - ***cueaddin****.yourdomain.topdomain*
 - ***cuekibana****.yourdomain.topdomain*
 - ***cueelastic****.yourdomain.topdomain*
- Create SSL certificates for these new domains. For technical reasons, the server must perceive these certificates as completely valid and trusted. See [SSL certificates](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/Dep/pages/151322658).
- Before the update, create new folders on the server for the installation of Elastic and Kibana and whitelist them from Windows Defender (add them to the list of folders that Windows Defender does not check) - Windows Defender slows down Elastic and Kibana. The procedure is described [here](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/Dep/pages/802422795).
- If you want to add CUE Addin in [bulk for all users](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/893780007), then the ***cueaddin****.yourdomain.topdomain* page must be visible and trusted by Microsoft servers. Microsoft servers must be able to download safely manifest.xml file from this URL. See [here (DNS records)](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/Dep/pages/151224364) and [here (SSL certificates)](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/Dep/pages/151322658) for details.
- CUE Addin clients (web browser, user) must have access to [microsoft.com](http://microsoft.com), where the necessary files are loaded for touchONE-addin to work properly.
- If you want to use Outlook add-in CUE Addin, add redirect URI to Entra (Azure AD) application for apps as described [here in part ](/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/255950885/Registered+app+creating#Redirect-URIs)**[Configuration For CUE Assist / Redirect URIs](/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/255950885/Registered+app+creating#Redirect-URIs)**[. ](/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/255950885/Registered+app+creating#Redirect-URIs)
- **It is possible that the server will be low on available RAM after the update**. A newly installed Elasticsearch may use a large amount of RAM. We therefore recommend checking the amount of available memory after installation and if it is low, follow the instructions [here](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/Dep/pages/800424019).
