# Description

**Each device-oriented** web-based **application **within CUE Solution operates under its **own specific license**. These licenses define the scope of use, deployment limits, and maintenance entitlements tailored to the software's unique function.

Each **app **is represented by a **URL** with a unique identifier, its **real location** in the building, and its settings. This URL can be assigned to:

- **CUE hardware** (touch panel, signCUE-three)
- **Third-party hardware** running a standard Internet browser (typically a digital signage display or player).

So, the **total licensing requirement** depends on the hardware used:

- **CUE Hardware:** Only the specific **application license** is required.
- **Third-Party hardware:** Both the **application license** and a **[Third-Party Device license](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LM/pages/2520055846)** are required.

All device-oriented apps running on **Third-Party hardware** use **Device Code Flow** authentication. It provides a seamless and secure login experience for input-constrained devices. This approach significantly enhances security by keeping sensitive credentials off the device and improving user experience.
