This document describes the process of setting up Microsoft 365 to work with the CUE reservation system.

> ℹ️ Most of the necessary settings can be made using the standard web admin interface. Some optional settings must be made using [PowerShell](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/211288092).

For proper functionality of the CUE reservation system, it is necessary to ensure the following steps:

# Subscription plans

One of the following Microsoft 365 plans is required for the correct function of the CUE reservation system:

- [Business, Education, Enterprise](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/)
- [Government](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/government/compare-office-365-government-plans).

In addition, **Exchange Online service** with the support of resource/room mailboxes is required.

> ⚠️ Personal and family plans are not supported.

# Service availability

Following addresses where the services necessary to use Microsoft Graph are available must be available from CUE server and from all reservation system units:

If access to external Web sites is limited in your environment, you must allow access to these websites.

# Authentication methods

Depending on the rules used in your organization, choose one of the following authentication methods:

- [OAuth 2.0 Device Code Flow Authentication Protocol (DCF)](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/284853099)
- [OAuth 2.0 Resource Owner Password Credentials Authentication Protocol (ROPC)](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/284754771)
- [OAuth 2.0 Implicit Grant flow](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/284820170).

Many settings differ depending on the authentication method used.

# Setup

To better understand how to set up Office 365, read the following chapters:

- [Registered apps for Microsoft Graph API](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/255819944)

# Notes

> 📝 **Note for users of previous firmware versions of the CUE system**
> 📝 Previous versions of touchONE firmware (up to version 19) used Exchange Web Services (EWS) and basic authentication to access Microsoft 365 servers. Microsoft will no longer support this technology as of October 2020. A registered Microsoft Graph application is recommended for access Microsoft 365 now.
> 📝 Firmware 20 and newer permits simple migration to Microsoft Graph - just register the application and enter its credentials in the settings. You don’t need to change anything in your account settings. If you do not switch to Microsoft Graph, you can continue to use the previously set EWS access until Microsoft ceases to support it. In newly created reservation systems, older EWS access cannot be set in FW20 or later.
