> ℹ️ If you manage your reservation system with **CUE Solution**, you need at least **two applications**:
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ - Azure AD application **for apps** (formerly for CUE Assist)
> ℹ️ - **Common** app for other connection agents.
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ If you manage your reservation system using **[Essential Setup](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TES/overview#Essential-Setup)** or **[touchONE-manager](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TOA/overview#touchONE-manager-On-premises-Administration)**, you need only **one application** **[for units](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/806454250)****.**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ Details are described [here](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/255819944/Registered+apps+description#Apps-%26-administration-methods).

# Register app

Follow these steps:

- Go to "Admin / Microsoft 365 admin center (… Show all) / Identity" or “Admin / Microsoft 365 admin center / Microsoft Entra”. Here in **Microsoft Entra admin center** tap "Applications / App registration". Then select "+ Add" and “App registration”.
Note: **Microsoft recently renamed Azure AD to Microsoft Entra ID. It is possible that in your environment you may still find the above setup under the name Azure AD admin center.**
- Select a name for your application, e.g. "touchONE connection agent for units". Then confirm with the "Register" button.

# Application credentials

- After you have registered applications, **copy **the "Application (client) ID" and the "Directory (tenant) ID" and store them in a safe place. You will need it later in CUE reservation system settings.

# API permissions

Each registered application must have API permissions set according to the application's purpose. The list of permissions can be found in the drop-down boxes for the given application type. A more detailed description of the necessary permissions can be found [here](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/255819944).

Follow these steps:

- Select "API permissions" in the left column.
- On the page, tap "Add a permission".

- Select "Microsoft Graph".

- Now tap “Delegated permissions”.
- Set the required **delegated API permissions**. Scroll down to the specific API permission group, open it and check the appropriate permission(s) for the application you are creating. OpenId permissions (email, offline_access, openid, and profile) can be found at the top of the list.

> ⚠️ Then proceed according to which application you are currently creating.
> ⚠️
> ⚠️ **Expand only one of the following procedures, depending on the application you are creating and the authentication you are using.**
> ⚠️
> ⚠️ If you expand multiple procedures at once and mix settings from different procedures, your application may not work properly.

**Continue with configuring of permission as follows:**

> ℹ️ **Note for systems administered with CUE Solution:**
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ For installation with **500+ resources** we recommend to use dedicated registered application for each connection agent. For **complete reservation functionality** incl. reservation panels and other hardware units, the **CUE Solution** needs to create **5 registered applications. **
> ℹ️
> ℹ️ All registered applications are described in the section [https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/806454250](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/806454250).
