The OAuth 2.0 authorization code grant can be used in apps that are installed on a device to gain access to protected resources, such as web APIs. Using the Microsoft identity platform implementation of OAuth 2.0 and Open ID Connect (OIDC), you can add sign-in and API access to your mobile and desktop apps.

> ℹ️ **OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Flow** has been used by **CUE Assist **and** **Outlook add-in **CUE Addin** to log in and authenticate users in the **CUE Solution version 6 and higher**.
> ℹ️ 
> ℹ️ **OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Flow **can also be used to log in CUE Admin users if Microsoft 365 or Google identity authentication is required.


> ℹ️ **OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Flow** uses **interactive sign-in**. Therefore, **interactive sign-in needs to be enabled** for CUE Assist users and **not blocked by some security or conditional access policy**.
