## How to add a new resource

### Adding a new resource to CUE Calendar

1. In CUE Admin, click the **Resources** subsection in the **CUE Calendar** section.
2. On the *List* tab, click the :new: button at the top left of the screen.
3. In the New resource it is recommended to fill in the data on all tabs (General, Working hours, Scheduling). Optional data that is left blank will be transferred to CUE Admin by default.
4. On the *Working hours* tab, assign the appropriate [timetable](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TAM/pages/edit-v2/2402648067) to the new resource, or create a new one using the :PLUS: button. Resources without an assigned timetable are available for reservations 24/7.
5. Save by clicking the :save: button at the top right of the screen.

You can enter any number of resources in the same way.

### Batch editing of resources

The *Batch edit* tab allows multiple existing CUE Calendar resources to be edited simultaneously and new resources to be added. It functions as a spreadsheet-like editor, where data can be edited directly in individual cells or pasted from external sources, such as Excel.

![image-20261028-203303.png](media://d2afd0e5-b8dd-4eb1-abf4-85deeecb7126)

1. In CUE Admin, click the **Resources** subsection in the **CUE Calendar** section.
2. Switch to the *Batch edit* tab.
3. Use the :addrow: button to add rows one by one. In each row, enter the *Username*, *Display name*, *Capacity*, and *Timezone* for the new resource. Complete the remaining columns as appropriate; leaving them empty at this stage does not prevent the resource from being saved. However, all four required fields must be completed before saving.
4. Click the :generateid: button to automatically generate and populate the ID in the second column.
5. When pasting data from an external spreadsheet make sure the columns from *Username* to *Timezone* match the order used in Batch edit. Add one new row, select the cell in the *Username* column, and paste the data. Batch edit automatically creates additional rows for all pasted records. Then click the :generateid: xy button to generate any missing IDs.
6. Save by clicking the :save: button above the table.

You can discard any unsaved changes and newly added rows by clicking the :reset: button.

### Synchronization of CUE Calendar with CUE Admin

1. In CUE Admin, click the **Connection agents** subsection in the **Connections** section.
