- To add a new kiosk, click the   button

## tab General

#### Unique name

Fill in the Unique name of the kiosk.

#### Mode

Select one of the modes according to the purpose of the particular kiosk:

- Standard navigation kiosk
- Full digital signage (without navigation)

#### Show virtual keyboard

If you wish to display the virtual keyboard on the kiosk, tick the appropriate option. Before turning on the kiosk virtual keyboard, turn off the on-screen keyboard display on the device that is running the web application.

### QR code section:

#### Unique name

Fill in the Unique name of the kiosk.

#### Category

Select the category item. For more information on creating a new category click **[here](https://docs.cuesystem.com/space/TAM/767426611/Configuration+for+navigation+-+part+1#Creating-POI/QR-code-category)**.

#### Root area

Select the root area of the kiosk. Please note that only the selected area and its subareas can be browsed on the kiosk!

#### Text for scan QR code

Fill in the Text for scan QR code. The text is displayed on the kiosk next to the QR code. If you don't fill in the field, the default text “Continue with web navigation” is used.

### Reset function after inactivity section:

#### Enable

By checking the "Enable" option, you can set whether the kiosk should be reset when inactive. Reset function clears the searched route and filters, restores language settings and route type.

#### Show countdown (minutes)

Here you can set how long it takes to start the reset countdown.

#### Reset after countdown show (seconds)

Here you can set how long the countdown should run before resetting.

#### Supports all POIs / resources in root area

- Keep this option **checked** if you want to **keep all resources from the selected root area and their subareas traceable on the kiosk**.
- **Uncheck** this option if you **need to hide some resources for the kiosk**:

The new **POI assignment** tab will come up above.

- Select the resources that you want to be traceable and usable on the kiosk.
- Save.

### License section:

Select the appropriate type of purchased kiosk license that you want to use for a particular kiosk, depending on the kiosk features you need (see kiosk licenses overview [here](https://docs.cuesystem.com/space/LM/923304056/Kiosk+licenses)).

### Shut down the kiosk section:

#### Out of order

Check the option if you want the kiosk to display a message when out of order or in case of unexpected error.

Type the text to be displayed on the kiosk when it is out of service.
