After installing the CUE Solution, an [initial setup](https://docs.cuesystem.com/space/TAM/16810034) must be performed in which at least one user with Administrator rights is set up. This user can then add other users and set their access roles.

## Login

To log in to CUE Admin, you can use **basic authorization** with email and password or, if configured for your instance, you can also login with an **external Microsoft365 or Google identity**.

**Password**: Note that the password input is case sensitive.

## Forgotten password

If you forgot the password, click **Forgotten password >>** on Login page.

Enter your **email address** and click on **Send email to reset password** button. Further instructions will appear: *Check your email for a link to reset your password. If it doesn't appear within a few minutes, check your spam folder.*

The text of this email is configurable as a [notification template](https://docs.cuesystem.com/space/TAM/476905929) “Forgotten password”. The link in the email will expire in 24 hours if it hasn't been used but you can generate a new one the same way.

## Reset password

> ⚠️ 1. The password has to be **from 12 to 128 characters long**,
> ⚠️ 2. The password** must contain characters from three of the following categories:**

> ⚠️ - uppercase letters
> ⚠️ - lowercase letters
> ⚠️ - numbers
> ⚠️ - non-alphanumeric characters (special characters) '-!"#$%&()*,./:;?@[]^_`{|}~+<=>
> ⚠️ 
> ⚠️ 3. The password **must not contain more than 2 equal characters in a row** (e.g: '111mine').

The link in the Forgotten password email leads to the **Reset password page** and already contains the **token**. 

Fill in your **Email** and **New password** twice (must match) and confirm by clicking **Reset password** button.

The confirmation message *New password set successfully* is displayed. To enter CUE Admin, you must click on the **Login >>** link and complete the login process in the standard way.

## Forgotten PIN

PINs are used to authorize users on reservation panels.

Users can initiate their PIN settings themselves if they know the admin's domain by clicking the **Forgotten PIN >>** button on the login page, or the admin can send users an email with instructions directly from CUE Admin.

You can enter your **email address** and click on **Send email **button. Further instructions will appear: *If the e-mail address you have entered is valid and is found in our system, we will send to that address a link to set new PIN code. If it doesn’t appear within a few minutes, check your spam folder.*

## Reset PIN

The link in the Forgotten PIN email leads to the **Reset PIN page** and already contains the **token**. 

1. Fill in your **Email**
2. Click on the **Generate PIN code** button. A randomly generated PIN code will be displayed.
3. Confirm by clicking **Set new PIN code** button. The confirmation message *The new PIN code has been successfully set.* and instruction *Please save PIN code in a secure place.* are displayed.
