A **connection agent** is a set of data for accessing the server. Depending on the purpose of the connection agent, it may or may not include a service (delegate) account on whose behalf the necessary operations are performed. You can use different connection agents for various services (calendar, AD, sending emails, etc.).

## Add new connection agent

To create a new connection agent, press the <span style="color: #0747a6">***+ NEW***</span> button in the top right corner.

Opens a wizard to create a new connection agent. Here you can choose the purpose of the connection agent and the type of server. Connection agents are used for the following purposes:

- [For import resources and users](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TAM/pages/243040257)
- [For API operations](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TAM/pages/243105793)

- [For touchONE-assist](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TAM/pages/242581510)

Click the button according to the connection agent type and server type. Details can be found on the subpages dedicated to each type of connection agent.

## Edit connection agent

Click the <span style="color: #0747a6">***EDIT***</span> button to edit the specific connection agent. For a description of the editable items, see the subpages dedicated to each type of connection agent.

## Delete connection agent(s)

If you want to delete one or more connection agents, select them using the checkboxes in the left column and then click the <span style="color: #0747a6">***DELETE***</span> button in the top right.

A pop-up window will open where you need to confirm the deletion.

Tap <span style="color: #0747a6">***DELETE ***</span>to confirm or tap <span style="color: #0747a6">***CANCEL***</span><span style="color: #0747a6">* *</span>to leave the pop-up window without changes.

If the connection agent is in use somewhere, it cannot be deleted. In this case, a pop-up window will open that displays information about wherever the connection agent is used.

In this case, click <span style="color: #0747a6">***CANCEL***</span>, change the settings where the connection agent is used and try to delete it again.

## Forced synchronization of resource and user list

If you have added or removed users or resources in the server and you do not want to wait until the next day when these changes are [automatically synchronized](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TAM/pages/243040257) with the list of users and resources in touchONE-server, you can force the synchronization manually.

Use the check box in the left column to select the connection agent for importing resources and users for which you want to force synchronization. Then click on the SYNCHRONIZE button in the upper left corner.

A pop-up window will open with the agent's connection details.

To synchronize the changes that have occurred since the last synchronization, click <span style="color: #0747a6">***SYNCHRONIZE NOW***</span>.  
To synchronise completely, click on <span style="color: #0747a6">***FULL SYNCHRONIZE NOW.***</span>

Wait until the synchronization is complete and then close the window with the <span style="color: #0747a6">***CANCEL***</span> button.
