This connection agent is used in CUE Solution Units (panels and touchONE-overview) for working with resource calendars and for sending emails (e.g., with service requests).

For this connection agent, you need a service account to work with resource calendars and on behalf of which the emails are sent. The service account needs full access to resource calendars.

API operations are performed on the following servers:

- Microsoft 365 using Microsoft Graph
- Exchange server using EWS (Exchange Web Services)
- Google Workspace using Google Calendar API and Gmail API

For details, expand the procedures for the given server types below:

<details>

Microsoft 365

Connection agent for units in Microsoft 365 needs an application registered in Azure AD. The procedure for creating an application is described here: [Registered app creating](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/M3SG/pages/255950885)

Use the procedure **Configuration For units** or **Configuration for Common app**.

> ℹ️ Since there is a limitation in access to Microsoft 365 using Microsoft Graph, one connection agent is suitable for up to 50 touchONE devices that work with the same service account. If you need to use more devices, use a different connection agent that uses either a different service account or a different application registered in Azure AD.

To create a new connection agent, press the ***+ NEW*** button in the top right corner and then ***NEW MICROSOFT 365*** in the section **For units**.

Exchange server

For Exchange, you need the address of the Exchange server. EWS (Exchange Web Services) is used for communication.

> ℹ️ Since there is a limitation in access to Exchange, using one connection agent is suitable for up to 25 touchONE devices that work with the same service account. This restriction arises because, by default, Exchange Server has a limit on the maximum concurrent access to the account at one time, given by the EWSMaxConcurrency parameter. The EWSMaxConcurrency parameter has a default value of 27. If you need to use more devices, use a different connection agent that uses a different service account. Alternatively, you can increase the EWSMaxConcurrency value for the service account.

To create a new connection agent, press the ***+ NEW*** button in the top right corner and then ***NEW EXCHANGE*** in the section **For units**.

#### Username

Enter here the username of the service account used for units. For the Exchange server, the username is typically in the format **username** or **domain/username**, e.g. **touchone** or **contoso/touchone**. If this is enabled on your Exchange/AD server, it can also be in email format, e.g. **touchone@contoso.com**.
