Features is a section in CUE Admin for managing access to application functions (feature flags). In User management → Features, you configure whether a specific function is active, who can access it (users, groups), or whether it is available to everyone.

## What it is used for

- central enable/disable of a specific function,
- access control by users and user groups,
- global access for all users via **Grant to all**,
- management of feature flags used in applications (for example in CUE Assist).

## Where users can find it

In the left menu of CUE Admin as **User management → Features**.

## Where the settings apply

In CUE Assist, for selected functions of the logged-in user:

- the function must first be **Enabled**,
- and at least one access condition must be met:
- **Grant to all** or explicit assignment of the user or their group.

## Screen overview in CUE Admin

### Toolbar

- **Refresh** - reloads data from the backend.
- **Save** - saves all changes in the grid.
- The Save button is active only when there are unsaved changes.

### Features Grid

- **Feature name** - feature name.
- **Description** - textual description of the feature.
- **Grant access to user groups** - group multiselect.
- **Grant access to users** - user multiselect.
- **Grant to all** - checkbox for global access.
- **Enabled** - feature activation checkbox.

### Field Behavior

- If the row is disabled (**Enabled = false**), selecting users/groups and the Grant to all option are disabled in the UI.
- After re-enabling, previously configured user/group lists are preserved.
- By default, only non-hidden feature rows are shown in the grid.
- Hidden rows are shown only in WIP configuration mode.

## Feature setup

1. Open **User management** → **Features**.
2. Find the required feature in the grid.
3. Enable **Enabled**.
4. Set access:
  - either turn on **Grant to all**,
  - or select specific users and/or groups.
5. Click **Save**.
6. After success, a save confirmation is shown and the grid reloads.

## Practical scenarios

- **Pilot rollout**: the feature is enabled only for selected testers.
- **Group-based enablement**: the feature is enabled for a specific role via user group.
- **Global enablement**: the feature is enabled for everyone via Grant to all.
- **Quick disable**: disable availability for everyone by unchecking Enabled.

## Important notes

- In this section, you do not add or delete feature rows; you only edit access and activation.
- Without clicking Save, changes are not applied to the system.
- Refresh discards unsaved changes and loads the current state from the backend.
