A new service category is created using the :new: button. An existing service category can be edited using the :upravit1: button next to the corresponding category.

## General tab

This section contains the general configuration settings for the service category. The required fields are *Name* and *Type for unit*. For the Service and Cleaning types, a *PIN code* is also required.

### Name

The name can be provided in multiple languages.

### Type for unit

Select the appropriate Type for unit from the drop-down menu. Remember that once the service category is saved, its *Type for unit *cannot be changed.

### PIN code

The PIN code is used only for the *Cleaning* and *Service* types. When Catering is selected, the PIN code field is not displayed. The PIN code is entered on the resource unit by the responsible staff member to confirm that the requested service or cleaning task has been completed. A new PIN code can be generated using the :generate: button. The PIN can be regenerated at any time if a different code is required.

### Allow more items

Feature under testing

### Note allowed

When selected, users can add a note to the service item when creating an order in CUE Assist to specify special requirements or preferences (for example that coffee should be served without sugar).

> ℹ️ Please note that if *Note min length* is set to 1 or more characters, the note becomes **mandatory** and must contain at least the specified number of characters. Otherwise, the order cannot be saved in CUE Assist.

### Currently unavailable

When selected, the service item is temporarily removed from the available options. It cannot be added to new requests in CUE Assist or on resource units, but remains active in CUE Admin and is preserved in existing orders. When the option is cleared, the item becomes available again.

### Action buttons

:new: **New item** button - Adds new service items to the service category. Please note that once a new service item is saved, it cannot be permanently deleted and can only be inactivated.

> ℹ️ After adding the desired items, the changes to the service category must also be saved.

 **Move up** / **Move down** buttons - Change the order of service items in the list. The items are displayed in the same order when users select them for an order in CUE Assist.

:upravit1: **Edit** button - Allows the selected service item to be edited.

:smazat1: **Inactivate** button - Service items cannot be permanently deleted from CUE Admin. If a service item is no longer intended for use, it can only be inactivated. In CUE Assist, the service item can no longer be added to new requests, but remains available in the order history. Inactivated service items can be displayed by setting the filter in the *Inactivated* column to Yes.

:PLUS: **Reactivate** button - Can be used to reactivate inactivated service items.

## Users tab

This section is used to assign users responsible for handling requests related to the service category.

Requests are sent by email to the assigned users so that they can take the appropriate action. For example, technicians can be assigned to the AV Support category to receive requests related to AV equipment.

Select the required users using the checkboxes in the first column.
