You can create a new area by clicking the **+** button next to the existing area you want to use as a parent area on the left of the screen.  

# General

In this section, you can set the general parameters of the new area.

#### Parent area

Here the parent area of the new area is displayed, i.e. where the given area is located. You can select another parent area if necessary.

#### Name

Here you can set the name of the new area.

#### Relative areas

Here you can select several related areas. This will create a connection between resources in the related areas. You can use this to make e.g. a connection between an office building and a parking lot.

#### Resources

In this table, you can assign required resources to the new area by ticking the checkmarks in the first column. The selected resource will then be displayed in the touchONE-assist if it also has a connection agent for API and a license assigned.


> ℹ️ **After you have completed the settings, save the data by clicking the SAVE button **  
> ℹ️ **at the top-right corner of the view!**


# Floorplan

In this section, you can assign a floorplan in SVG image format to the new area. Select an image by clicking the **SELECT FILES…** button. The image will then appear below. On the left you will see the name, the size and the date and time of upload of the image. 

> ℹ️ **The file must be formatted according to the following rules**

Save the floorplan by clicking the **SAVE **button at the top-right corner of the view or remove it by clicking the **REMOVE IMAGE **button.


# Editor
