Navigation can either be part of the **CUE Assist** application or a standalone **CUE Navigation** application for anonymous users.

## Prerequisites

- Installed CUE Solution [On-Premise](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/Dep) or [SaaS](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TOSSAASD)
- Prepared files with [floorplans](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TAM/pages/562987040)
- A certificate with **CUE licenses** uploaded in CUE Admin

## Procedure

We recommend starting with **CUE Assist** if you need to configure both **CUE Assist** and **CUE Navigation**. Choose the procedure that works best for you. Here is the most efficient way of configuration in our opinion.

### CUE Solution registration

- First you need to fill in the registration form **CUE Solution**.
- For more information on how to create a reservation suite click [here](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TAM/pages/16810034).

### Map scale, zoom and POI size coeficient settings

- **Map scale settings**
  - By setting the correct scale, you ensure that the navigation route description displays accurate distance information.
    - Go to **Smart building - Areas - Editor** and click on the area where you want to set the map scale.
    - Switch to **Edit mode**.
    - Select a part of the map where you know the actual dimensions in meters (e.g., the length or width of a resource, corridor, doors, etc.).
    - In the toolbar, click the :mapscale: tool and click on the map to mark the start and end points of the measurement segment.
    - A window appears on the right, where you enter the **Real length of the drawn line in metres**.
    - Save the settings by clicking the :save: button.
    - This value will also be transferred to *Map scale in meter/unit* field in the *Floorplan* tab.

- **Zoom settings**
  - The correct zoom setting ensures user comfort when using the navigation.
  - Zoom values are mandatory and determine the zoom behavior within the navigation section of the application. They are automatically transferred to the navigation and define the zoom range for the user.
  - Go to **Smart building - Areas - Floorplan** and click on the desired area.
  - Select the minimum, the maximum and the default zoom value:
    - **Min** = The minimum allowed zoom-out level. The user will not be able to zoom out the map beyond this value.
    - **Max** = The maximum allowed zoom-in level. The user will not be able to zoom in on the map beyond this value.
    - **Default** = The default zoom level that will be applied when the map is loaded in the navigation.

- **POI size coeficient**
  - This value determines the size of the icons displayed on the map in the navigation.
  - Typically, these include entrances, exits, elevators, and other useful points of interest that are set to be visible to the user.
  - Go to **Smart building - Areas - Floorplan** and click on the desired area.
    - Enter the desired value (the value ranges between 0.1 and 4).
    - By ticking the checkbox above, it is possible to set the POIs to zoom with the floorplan. This means that when zooming the map, the icons will scale up or down in the same proportions.

> ℹ️ For each floorplan, it is necessary to set the map scale, zoom and POI size coeficient separately! **Then, test how the individual settings affect the map when it is loaded on different devices** (e.g., mobile phone, kiosk, etc.).
