## How to create an Area

- After installing CUE Solution, a root area named **Area** is created in the *Areas* section, serving as the root for all areas that will be created in the system.

> ℹ️ **There can only be one root!** You can edit it (e.g. rename it), but it cannot be deleted.

- Next, create the tree structure according to your needs.
  - If you use only one area (e.g. you have only one floor in your company), you can now proceed to edit the root area.
  - If multiple floors or buildings are available, use the root area as the top-level node and create its child areas accordingly.

- Create a new area by clicking the :areasettings: button and then the :PLUS: button next to the corresponding parent area under which the new area will be created.

- In the panel on the right, enter the name of the new area.

- Select *Relative Areas* if applicable.

- Create the new area by clicking the :create: button, then save the updated tree structure by clicking the :save: button in the top-left corner.

## How to create or delete a root area

- In the *Area Settings* mode, you can create a new root area at any time using the :newroot: button. The new root is automatically placed above the current area tree, and the original root becomes its child. This process can be repeated multiple times, gradually extending the hierarchy upwards.

- When deleting a root area, the system promotes its child to a new root, but only if the root being deleted has exactly one direct child. For non-root areas, you can choose whether to delete the entire subtree or move the child areas one level up.

- If a root area (in this case, **Cuelandia**) has multiple direct children, it cannot be deleted.
