Navigation point categories are used to define the type of a point and to enable navigation to the nearest point within a selected category (e.g. the nearest restroom, elevator, exit, or information center).

Users encounter navigation point categories in CUE Navigation. These categories can be used to navigate to the nearest location of a selected category, filter items in the start and target lists, and display corresponding icons on the map next to POIs.

## Adding a new POI / QR code category

A new POI / QR code category can be added by clicking the :new: button in the upper-right corner of the screen.

### **General tab**

### Name

Enter the name of the new category here.

> ℹ️ Names can be defined in multiple <u>[languages](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/x/BQDxQw)</u>. When this option is available, a small language tab with a flag icon appears next to the name field, allowing you to enter different language versions.

### Color

Select a category color based on your preference. If no color is selected, the default color is applied. The selected color can be reset to the default at any time by clicking the :defaultcolor: button.

The category color is reflected in navigation. If a POI has a visible category assigned, either the category icon or the POI name (depending on the configuration) is displayed on the map using this color.

### Filterable / searchable in navigation

These options determine whether the category name can be used for searching and/or filtering in navigation when selecting a starting or target location.

### Icon

Select an icon from the CUE icon dropdown, or upload your own image (or choose from previously uploaded images).

### **QR code tab**

Select the QR codes to be included in this category by checking the corresponding checkbox in the first column.

## Editing a POI / QR code category

Clicking the :upravit1: button in the fifth column allows the corresponding category to be edited.

## Deleting a POI / QR code category

Clicking the :bin: button in the fifth column allows the corresponding category to be deleted.

Multiple categories can be deleted at once by selecting them using the checkboxes in the first column and then clicking the :delete2: button in the upper-right corner of the screen.

## Set category rank

Clicking the :setrank: button in the upper-right corner of the screen allows you to define a custom order of properties as they are displayed in the navigation when searching with the category filter applied. Categories can be reordered using drag and drop according to your preferences.
