Monitor & Control is a feature that allows users to view and access monitoring and control objects linked to POIs or QR codes on the map. The user selects an area, clicks a POI or resource, and works with objects (Control / Monitor / Indicator) in the side panel or directly on the map, based on configured permissions.

## What it is used for

- continuous monitoring of device and object states on the map,
- controlling objects via buttons and repeated buttons (hold action),
- opening POI/resource detail including related objects,
- displaying information about the linked CUE unit (status, firmware, screenshot, last activity).

## Where users can find it

The feature is available from the CUE Assist side menu under the :monitorcontrol: icon. It is displayed only to authorized users; users who have not been granted the corresponding permission in CUE Admin do not see the icon in the side menu.

## How it looks

The screen is split into two parts:

1. **Left part (panel)**
  - either an area tree (area selection),
  - or detail of the selected POI/resource.
2. **Right part (map)**
  - breadcrumb of the current area,
  - floorplan map,
  - POIs, resources, areas, and monitor/control objects.

On mobile, there is a toggle:

- **Selection Information** (panel),
- **Show Map**.

The top bar also contains the **Scan QR** button.

## Map interaction

- clicking a POI opens POI detail,
- clicking a resource opens resource detail,
- clicking an area switches the area.

## Detail panel

Depending on item type, the detail displays for example:

- name, code, category, type, capacity, properties,
- availability/schedule (for resources),
- list of related POIs,
- monitor/control objects,
- information about the CUE unit (if linked).

## Object types

The section works with three object types:

- **Control** - control elements.
- **Monitor** - monitoring items.
- **Indicator** - compact status indicator.

The specific elements visible to the user depend on:

- Show in detail (what is visible in the detail panel),
- Show in map (what is visible directly in map object cards),
- user permissions for the given object.

If the unit does not send data, a warning may appear: "at least one unit is not available".

## How to configure it in CUE Admin

### Enable access

The user must be granted access to the Monitor & Control feature.

### Prepare POI and Map

[Navigation](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TAM/pages/767426611/Configuration+for+navigation+-+part+1#Creating-resource) must contain an area plus POI/QR points to which objects will be linked.

### Link objects to QR

In [Projects](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TAM/pages/1374781487), you need to:

- have objects in unit instances,
- assign them to a specific QR (tab type **Assigment** / object ↔ QR binding).

### Configure object permissions

In [Projects](https://cue.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TAM/pages/1374781487) → permissions (object + QR), configure:

- **Grant access**,
- optionally **User groups / Users / Units / Unit clients**,
- **Minutes before/after event** (for event-based modes),
- **Show in detail**,
- **Show in map**,
- optionally **Show in resource detail**.

Without correct permissions, the object will not be shown in Assist.

## Data display conditions

For the user to see Control&Monitor content, all of the following must apply:

- navigation is enabled in the system (Navigation enabled),
- the user has the Assist Control&monitor feature,
- the object is linked to a QR in the given area,
- the user has permission for the object (grant access / user / group / event window / resource assignment),
- the POI is license-eligible for map monitor&control objects (the map layer uses licensed POI Standart).
